Severstal is committed to maintaining supply chain sustainability, which includes supplier and contractor sustainability audits to evaluate their compliance with the environmental, social and ethical sustainability requirements.

As part of the evaluation procedure, we request you to undergo ESG certification by completing a questionnaire in SAP SRM.

Main blocks of
ESG certification

General

This includes reporting, ratings and awards, ESG team

Environmental (E)

Evaluation according to environmental criteria - existence of an environmental policy, CO2 emissions, energy efficiency, etc.

Social (S)

The block includes: occupational safety requirements, observance of human rights and labor laws, social policy.

Corporate governance (G)

Presence of various policies, information security, anti-corruption measures.

Stages of ESG certification

Receipt of a letter requesting ESG certification
  • A request for ESG certification is forwarded to all suppliers who have registered in SRM.
  • Please select one of the two requests and follow the correct link according to the size of the company: up to 250 people or over 251 people.

Attachment of supporting documents
Documents that can serve as proof of compliance are listed for each question.
Rating calculation
Based on the information obtained from the questionnaire and the availability of supporting documents, a sustainability score is calculated in points. The ESG score can be viewed in SRM personal account.

It is important for our Company to develop long-term mutually beneficial relationships with business partners based on fair, open and ethical principles of cooperation, which are contained in the corporate Code of Business Partnership.

The Company's requirements to suppliers and purchased products in terms of quality are specified in the «Quality Manual».

Severstal has a zero tolerance policy towards corruption. An anti-corruption compliance clause is included in the «Standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase Contracts for Residents and Non-residents».
